As part of the Adventurous Activities, Map and Compass, and Expedition Skills units, students will undertake expedition training throughout the year and actively participate in two Adventurous Activity days at Calshot Activities Centre.
The Calshot Activity days will involve practical sessions on Sailing, Kayaking, Indoor Climbing, Abseiling and Skiing. The expedition training and assessment will be largely carried out in the local area and assessed by qualified College staff.
Participation in these activities is essential for students to pass the practical components of the BTEC Level 2 Teamwork Units 5, 6 & 7).

As part of the Outdoor Activities unit and Citizenship and Diversity unit, students will be required to visit Salisbury Cathedral and undertake outdoor activities training throughout the year and actively participate in two Adventurous Activity days at Calshot Activities Centre. Students will also participate in periodic expedition training in preparation for an expedition in Y2.
The Calshot Activity days will involve practical sessions on Sailing, Kayaking, Indoor Climbing, Abseiling and Skiing. The expedition training and assessment will be largely carried out in the local area and assessed by qualified College staff.
Participation in these activities is essential for students to pass the practical components of the BTEC L3 UPS and as such we request a contribution of £150 to be made via our online store to cover the costs of these activities.
Please pay Instalment 1 no later than 16/09/2024 and the balance no later than 01/11/2024.
